Salesforce Architect Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a salesforce architect in New York?
The path to becoming a salesforce architect in New York runs through Salesforce's own credentialing program rather than a state-issued license, since New York has no state-specific registration for this role. Most employers expect candidates to hold at least the Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect credential, earned through exams administered by Salesforce. A background in computer science or information systems and hands-on implementation experience at a New York consulting firm or enterprise are the typical entry points.
How much do salesforce architects make in New York?
Salesforce architects in New York earn a median of about $166,180 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $97,430 for the lowest 10% to over $224,590 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire salesforce architects in New York?
Employers hiring salesforce architects in New York right now include Capgemini, Salesforce, and Stifel Financial, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's concentration of financial services firms, large consulting practices, and healthcare technology organizations makes it one of the most consistent markets in the country for this role.
Which New York cities have the most salesforce architect jobs?
New York and Atlanta account for the most salesforce architect openings in New York. New York City dominates because of its density of financial institutions, media companies, and global consulting offices that run large Salesforce implementations, while secondary markets reflect the presence of regional enterprise headquarters and state government technology programs that rely on Salesforce for constituent services.
Are there remote salesforce architect jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. Architecture and design work is largely documentation-driven and collaboration-based, which makes it well suited to remote delivery. About 35% of salesforce architect openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how broadly distributed Salesforce talent hiring has become since enterprise teams normalized distributed delivery. Discovery workshops and stakeholder alignment sessions are the parts of the role most likely to require occasional on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a salesforce architect in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a Salesforce Administrator or junior developer role at a New York-based consulting firm or large enterprise, where exposure to multi-cloud implementations builds the architectural judgment employers expect at the architect level. Firms such as Deloitte and IBM run associate consulting programs in New York that accept candidates with Salesforce Administrator or Platform Developer credentials and no prior professional experience. Earning the Salesforce Certified Application Architect credential early signals commitment and accelerates the move from implementation to design responsibility.
Where can I find and apply to salesforce architect jobs in New York?
