Salesforce Architect Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a salesforce architect in Texas?
Becoming a salesforce architect in Texas follows the standard Salesforce certification path rather than a state-issued license. Most Texas employers expect candidates to hold at least one architect-tier credential, such as Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect, with the Salesforce Certified Technical Architect being the most respected at the senior level. A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is common, though strong hands-on experience combined with certifications can substitute for a degree at many Texas employers.
How much do salesforce architects make in Texas?
Salesforce architects in Texas earn a median of about $132,150 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $82,600 for the lowest 10% to over $183,680 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire salesforce architects in Texas?
Employers hiring salesforce architects in Texas right now include Accenture, Hermitage Info Tech, and Upwork, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Texas's large concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major consulting firms with Salesforce practices, and enterprise technology companies makes it one of the more consistent states for architect-level Salesforce demand year-round.
Which Texas cities have the most salesforce architect jobs?
Dallas, Houston, and Austin have the most salesforce architect openings in Texas. Dallas leads because of its dense cluster of financial services firms, telecom headquarters, and Salesforce consulting partners, while Austin's technology sector and Houston's energy and healthcare enterprises generate consistent architect-level demand that extends into surrounding suburban corridors like The Woodlands and Round Rock.
Are there remote salesforce architect jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Architecture-level Salesforce work is largely design, documentation, and stakeholder-facing, making it well suited to remote arrangements. About 47% of salesforce architect openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how normalized distributed work has become for this role. Discovery workshops, governance reviews, and solution design sessions are the parts of the job most likely to require periodic on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a salesforce architect in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving up from a salesforce administrator or developer role at a Texas employer large enough to support internal career ladders, such as major health systems like HCA Houston Healthcare, enterprise tech firms like Dell, or large consulting practices based in Dallas or Austin. Earning the Salesforce Administrator and Platform Developer credentials first establishes credibility, and many Texas-based Salesforce consulting partners actively hire associates and promote from within. Trailhead Superbadges and a portfolio of documented solution designs on personal or volunteer projects give candidates a concrete edge when experience is limited.
Where can I find and apply to salesforce architect jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to salesforce architect jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to Texas. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience and specialization, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
