Solutions Lead Jobs in Ohio: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a solutions lead in Ohio?
Most solutions leads in Ohio start with a bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or information systems, then build experience in technical sales, consulting, or solution architecture roles. Ohio does not require a state-issued license for this role. Employers typically look for candidates who have moved through pre-sales engineer, technical account manager, or business analyst positions before stepping into a solutions lead title at companies headquartered or operating across the state.
Which companies hire solutions leads in Ohio?
Employers hiring solutions leads in Ohio right now include Ryder System, RoviSys, and DocuSign, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Ohio's concentration of insurance, financial services, and industrial technology firms means solutions leads here often support enterprise software implementations and long-cycle B2B sales processes.
Which Ohio cities have the most solutions lead jobs?
Columbus, Ohio, and Aurora have the most solutions lead openings in Ohio. Columbus leads because of its dense cluster of insurance headquarters, fintech firms, and technology consultancies, while Cleveland and Cincinnati draw openings from their respective manufacturing, healthcare IT, and regional enterprise software ecosystems that consistently need customer-facing technical roles.
Are there remote solutions lead jobs in Ohio?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 80% of solutions lead openings tied to Ohio are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how naturally the role fits distributed work. The portions most suited to remote delivery are product demonstrations, discovery calls, and proposal development, while on-site executive briefings and proof-of-concept workshops still draw in-person requirements.
How can I get hired as a solutions lead in Ohio with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a pre-sales engineer or technical account manager role first, then building toward solutions lead over one to two years. Large Ohio employers in insurance technology and enterprise software, including firms based in Columbus and Cincinnati, regularly hire associate-level technical consultants and rotate them through structured sales engineering programs. A cloud platform certification or a portfolio showing a documented discovery-to-proposal process gives candidates without formal solutions lead titles a concrete edge.
Where can I find and apply to solutions lead jobs in Ohio?
You can find and apply to solutions lead jobs in Ohio on Migrate Mate, which lists current Ohio openings across Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and other markets in the state. Find the roles that fit your experience and apply directly from each listing.
