Strategic Account Executive Jobs in Rhode Island: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategic account executive in Rhode Island?
Most Rhode Island employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field combined with several years of progressive B2B sales experience. No state-issued license is required specifically for this role in Rhode Island. Candidates who build familiarity with the state's dominant industries, particularly financial services and healthcare technology, and who can show a history of managing large accounts, move through hiring processes fastest.
How much do strategic account executives make in Rhode Island?
Strategic account executives in Rhode Island earn a median of about $48,040 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $39,470 for the lowest 10% to over $104,550 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire strategic account executives in Rhode Island?
Employers hiring strategic account executives in Rhode Island right now include CVS Health, Fidelity Investments, and Citizens, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Rhode Island's concentration of financial services firms and healthcare technology companies means demand for strategic account executives is consistent throughout the year.
Which Rhode Island cities have the most strategic account executive jobs?
Providence, Rhode Island, and Woonsocket have the most strategic account executive openings in Rhode Island. Providence drives the largest share of demand as the state's commercial and financial center, home to major insurance, banking, and professional services headquarters, while Warwick and Cranston attract openings tied to established corporate campuses and regional offices that serve New England clients.
Are there remote strategic account executive jobs in Rhode Island?
Yes, and more than most fields. Strategic account executives often work with distributed client bases, making the role well suited to remote arrangements. About 79% of strategic account executive openings tied to Rhode Island are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how common flexible work has become in enterprise sales. Client-facing travel expectations still vary by employer, so check individual listings carefully.
How can I get hired as a strategic account executive in Rhode Island with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving up from an account manager, inside sales representative, or business development role at a Rhode Island employer. Large organizations like Citizens Financial Group and Textron occasionally hire into junior account roles that serve as pipelines for senior positions. Building familiarity with Salesforce, pursuing a Certified Sales Professional credential, and targeting mid-market accounts rather than enterprise roles first gives candidates without deep experience the strongest footing.
Where can I find and apply to strategic account executive jobs in Rhode Island?
You can find and apply to strategic account executive jobs in Rhode Island on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and target industry, and apply directly to whichever positions fit your experience level and location preference.
