What You’ll Do
As a Team Leader, Hot Punch, you’ll be part of our Stanley Black & Decker team located in East Longmeadow, MA. You’ll get to:
To be responsible for effectively assisting the Department Manager in directing the day-to-day activities of the employees within a specific manufacturing area. The Team Leader will be a working leader with their time divided between the production line and process support.
Primary:
- Support First Piece and In Process Inspections
- Work closely with Scrap / Material Handler
- Drive the department’s 5S and TPM results
- Monthly Inventory Cycle Counts
- SAP Transactions
- Support and audit Hour by Hour inputs
- Conduct daily departmental Tier 1 Meetings, (backup Tier 2 meetings) stretching, and weekly toolbox talks.
Secondary:
- Assist in resolving flow line issues, using proper tools and techniques to ensure the smooth and consistent flow of product through the lines.
- Identify cross-training needs and schedule time to ensure that the flow line is fully cross-trained.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the lines, including areas that would benefit from a Kaizen event.
- Work to identify opportunities for set-up and scrap reduction; be aware of and help keep the workforce aware of quality issues and look for areas of improvement.
- Ensure that the proper line staffing is in place at the beginning of each shift as well as ensure that the line has the supplies and support needed for the day’s production.
- Audit and assure all induction burn-off units are on and operational at all times.

Salary Range: $29.29 - $30.81
