Trainings run as full or half days for teachers and school staff, held at schools or online. The Center for Teacher Effectiveness began in 1993 and has trained more than 400,000 educators in all 50 states.
This is 1099 independent contractor work. There are no guaranteed hours, and the number of trainings you take on will differ by year. Most training days pay $1,000 or more, paid every Friday.
You'll find most trainings by contacting schools yourself, using the outreach approach from certification. Your National Director prepares each contract and negotiates the terms. Since there are no territories, you can train around the valley, elsewhere in Nevada, or in any other state.
To get started, you complete the virtual Weekend Certification: 36 hours across three days and two weekends. It is eligible for 4 graduate credits through UMass Global, and orientation, materials, and ongoing support are part of it.
We're glad to hear from current and former K-12 teachers, coaches, counselors, and principals. Most of our trainers keep working in schools and train on evenings, weekends, personal days, and in the summer. Students who plan to complete certification can apply.
