Which healthcare companies sponsor Green Card visas in Delaware?
ChristianaCare is Delaware's largest health system and one of the most active Green Card sponsors in the state, with a strong track record of EB-2 and EB-3 filings for clinical and research staff. Nemours Children's Health, Bayhealth Medical Center, and Connections Community Support Programs also appear in Department of Labor PERM disclosure data as sponsors. Long-term care and home health networks round out the sponsoring employer pool.
Which cities in Delaware have the most healthcare Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington holds the highest concentration of healthcare Green Card sponsorship activity in Delaware, driven by ChristianaCare's main campus and several specialty clinics. Newark is the second-largest hub, home to additional ChristianaCare facilities and proximity to the University of Delaware Health Sciences programs. Dover sees sponsorship activity through Bayhealth Medical Center, while Middletown and Milford have growing outpatient and long-term care facilities that periodically sponsor permanent residence.
What types of healthcare roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Delaware?
Registered nurses, physicians, and surgeons are the most commonly sponsored roles under EB-2 and EB-3 categories in Delaware. Physical therapists, occupational therapists, and medical laboratory scientists also appear frequently in PERM filings. Roles requiring a specialized degree or licensure, such as radiologic technologists and nurse practitioners, tend to qualify more readily. General support roles without degree requirements may qualify under EB-3 unskilled or other worker categories, though these face longer priority date backlogs.
How do I find healthcare Green Card sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters healthcare Green Card sponsorship jobs in Delaware by employer, role type, and visa category, saving significant research time. Beyond browsing listings on Migrate Mate, reviewing Department of Labor PERM disclosure data can confirm which Delaware employers have active sponsorship histories. Targeting hospital systems with established immigration programs, such as ChristianaCare, increases the likelihood of finding a genuine sponsorship pathway.
Are there state-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in Delaware healthcare?
Delaware's small size means the sponsoring employer pool is narrower than in larger states, so competition for sponsored roles at major health systems like ChristianaCare can be significant. Delaware does not impose state-level immigration requirements beyond federal standards, but healthcare workers must meet Delaware Division of Professional Regulation licensing requirements before sponsorship can proceed. For nurses and therapists, obtaining a Delaware state license early in the process is important since PERM and I-140 filings typically require proof of licensure or eligibility.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card healthcare jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
