Which electronics companies sponsor E-3 visas in Georgia?
Several Georgia-based employers have established E-3 and H-1B visa sponsorship histories in electronics and hardware. NCR Voyix, headquartered in Atlanta, regularly hires engineers in hardware and systems roles. Keysight Technologies, Siemens Energy, and Honeywell maintain Georgia operations with documented specialty occupation filings. Larger defense and aerospace contractors such as Lockheed Martin and Raytheon, which have significant Georgia footprints, also file LCAs for electronics engineering positions.
Which cities in Georgia have the most electronics E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta and its surrounding metro area account for the majority of electronics E-3 sponsorship activity in Georgia, with concentrations in Alpharetta, Peachtree City, and Marietta. Savannah has a smaller but growing presence tied to manufacturing and logistics technology. The I-285 corridor north of Atlanta hosts a cluster of hardware and semiconductor-adjacent firms, making it the most productive geography for Australian electronics professionals targeting E-3 roles in the state.
What types of electronics roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Georgia?
Roles that consistently meet the E-3 specialty occupation standard in electronics include hardware design engineer, embedded systems engineer, RF engineer, PCB layout engineer, FPGA developer, and electronics test engineer. Each requires at minimum a relevant bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related discipline. Roles where any unrelated degree satisfies the requirement, such as general project coordination, typically do not meet the specialty occupation threshold under USCIS guidelines.
How do I find electronics E-3 sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search: you can filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface Georgia electronics employers with verified E-3 and LCA filing histories, so you're not cold-applying to companies that have never sponsored the visa. Beyond Migrate Mate, you can cross-reference employer names against OFLC Labor Condition Application disclosure data to confirm active E-3 sponsorship patterns before applying to any Georgia-based electronics role.
Are there state-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in Georgia's electronics sector?
Georgia does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements, so the federal E-3 process applies uniformly. One practical consideration is Georgia's concentration of defense contractors: some positions require U.S. security clearances, which Australian E-3 holders cannot hold, so it's worth confirming clearance requirements before applying. Additionally, Georgia's prevailing wage determinations for electronics roles follow DOL's OFLC Wage Search by county and SOC code, and Atlanta metro wages typically differ from those in rural Georgia counties.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 electronics jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
