Which marketing and advertising companies sponsor Green Card visas in Illinois?
Chicago-based agencies and corporate marketing teams are among the most active Green Card sponsors in Illinois. Publicis Groupe, Leo Burnett, FCB, and Epsilon have established sponsorship pipelines, as do large brand headquarters like McDonald's, Mondelez, and Kraft Heinz, which maintain sizable in-house marketing departments. Enterprise software companies with large marketing functions, including Salesforce and Morningstar, also file Green Card petitions for marketing professionals regularly.
Which cities in Illinois have the most marketing and advertising Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Chicago accounts for the overwhelming majority of marketing and advertising Green Card sponsorship opportunities in Illinois. The city's River North, Fulton Market, and Loop neighborhoods host the densest concentration of agencies and corporate marketing teams. Smaller pockets of activity exist in suburban areas like Schaumburg and Oak Brook, where several Fortune 500 headquarters maintain marketing departments, but downtown Chicago remains the clear center of sponsorship activity.
What types of marketing and advertising roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Illinois?
Roles that typically qualify involve specialized skills tied to a specific degree field, such as marketing analytics, digital marketing strategy, media planning, UX research, and marketing technology management. Positions requiring fluency in platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Adobe Experience Manager, or advanced quantitative skills for programmatic advertising, are more likely to meet the specialty occupation standard that underpins most employment-based Green Card petitions than generalist marketing coordinator roles.
How do I find marketing and advertising Green Card sponsorship jobs in Illinois?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by Illinois, the marketing and advertising industry, and Green Card sponsorship to see roles where employers have an established history of filing employment-based petitions. This saves considerable time compared to manually researching sponsorship willingness company by company. Migrate Mate's job board is updated regularly, so checking it frequently improves your chances of catching new Illinois marketing and advertising openings early.
Are there any Illinois-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in marketing and advertising?
Illinois employers filing PERM labor certifications must comply with both federal Department of Labor requirements and conduct recruitment steps that demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers were available for the role. In Chicago's competitive marketing talent market, this recruitment burden can be higher, meaning employers need strong documentation. Additionally, Illinois has no state-level immigration incentive programs, so sponsorship depends entirely on individual employer willingness and the role meeting federal specialty occupation criteria.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card marketing & advertising jobs in Illinois?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
