Which marketing and advertising companies sponsor Green Card visas in New York?
Large holding companies with New York headquarters, including WPP, Publicis Groupe, Interpublic Group, and Omnicom, have established immigration programs and regularly sponsor Green Cards for specialized talent. Major in-house marketing teams at media, finance, and tech companies, such as NBCUniversal, Spotify, and American Express, also sponsor, though practices vary by role, department, and headcount needs at any given time.
Which cities in New York have the most marketing and advertising Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the overwhelming majority of marketing and advertising Green Card sponsorship jobs in New York, driven by the dense concentration of global agencies, media companies, and corporate marketing departments in Midtown and lower Manhattan. Brooklyn has a smaller but growing creative advertising presence. Outside New York City, sponsorship opportunities in marketing and advertising are considerably more limited across the rest of the state.
What types of marketing and advertising roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in New York?
Roles that require a specific bachelor's degree or higher, such as marketing analytics managers, SEO and performance marketing specialists, brand strategists, media planners, and marketing technology managers, are most commonly sponsored. Generalist or coordinator-level positions are less frequently sponsored because employers find it harder to demonstrate the specialized knowledge requirement that underpins most employment-based Green Card petitions through PERM labor certification.
How do I find marketing and advertising Green Card sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you filter by visa type, industry, and state to surface marketing and advertising roles where New York employers have indicated Green Card sponsorship. Because sponsorship intent is not always advertised clearly in standard job postings, using a platform like Migrate Mate that organizes listings by sponsorship type saves significant time and reduces guesswork when targeting Green Card-eligible positions.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in marketing and advertising?
New York's competitive labor market means employers must conduct a genuine PERM recruitment process to demonstrate no qualified U.S. workers are available before sponsoring a foreign national for a Green Card. New York City's large talent pool can make this process more scrutinized. Additionally, the city's high volume of international talent across agencies means immigration counsel is common, and many larger New York agencies have internal HR infrastructure experienced with employment-based sponsorship processes.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card marketing & advertising jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
