Which staffing companies sponsor visas in Illinois?
Major staffing companies with visa sponsorship programs in Illinois include Aerotek, Kelly Services, Robert Half, Randstad, and ManpowerGroup. Chicago-based firms like Winter Wyman and technology-focused recruiters such as Apex Systems also sponsor visas. Many of these companies sponsor H-1B visas for senior recruiting roles, business development positions, and specialized technical recruiters with niche expertise.
How to find staffing visa sponsorship jobs in Illinois?
Use Migrate Mate to search specifically for staffing roles in Illinois that offer visa sponsorship. Focus your search on Chicago's downtown Loop area and suburban office parks in Schaumburg and Oak Brook where many staffing headquarters are located. Target senior recruiter, account manager, and business development roles, as these positions most commonly qualify for specialty occupation requirements under H-1B guidelines.
Which visa types are most common for staffing roles in Illinois?
H-1B visas are most common for staffing professionals in Illinois, particularly for senior recruiter, account management, and business development roles that require specialized knowledge. TN visas work well for Canadian and Mexican nationals in recruiting positions. O-1 visas occasionally apply for executives at major staffing firms or professionals with extraordinary expertise in niche recruiting markets.
Which cities in Illinois have the most staffing sponsorship jobs?
Chicago dominates staffing visa sponsorship opportunities in Illinois, with most major firms headquartered in the Loop, River North, or suburban locations like Schaumburg and Oak Brook. Secondary markets include Springfield, Rockford, and Peoria, where regional staffing companies occasionally sponsor visas for specialized roles. The Chicago metro area accounts for approximately 85% of staffing sponsorship positions statewide.
What prevailing wage considerations affect staffing jobs in Illinois?
Illinois staffing roles must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements, which vary significantly between Chicago and downstate markets. Senior recruiter positions typically qualify at Level 2 or 3, while account managers and business development roles often reach Level 3 or 4. Chicago metro wages are generally 15-25% higher than downstate Illinois markets for comparable staffing positions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored staffing jobs in Illinois?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
