Which accounting companies sponsor E-3 visas in Indiana?
Indianapolis-based employers with a track record of international hiring include Eli Lilly, Salesforce, and Indiana University Health, along with regional accounting firms and Big Four offices operating in the state. Indiana's manufacturing corridor and life sciences industry also generate demand at companies like Cummins and Cook Medical, where finance and accounting teams occasionally sponsor qualified international candidates for roles requiring specialized credentials.
Which cities in Indiana have the most accounting E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the majority of accounting E-3 sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its concentration of corporate headquarters, healthcare systems, and professional services firms. Fort Wayne has a smaller but active market tied to manufacturing and financial services. South Bend and Bloomington see periodic openings, particularly connected to Notre Dame and Indiana University's affiliated business operations and regional employers.
What types of accounting roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that consistently qualify include staff accountant, senior accountant, financial analyst, audit associate, tax associate, and management accountant positions, provided the employer requires at least a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field. The E-3 specialty occupation requirement means the degree must be a genuine prerequisite for the role, not simply a preference listed in the job posting.
How do I find accounting E-3 sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, including E-3 roles. You can filter by state and visa type to surface accounting positions in Indiana where employers have indicated willingness to sponsor. Because E-3 sponsorship depends on the individual employer, using a platform like Migrate Mate that focuses on sponsorship-confirmed listings saves significant time compared to screening general job postings manually.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for accounting E-3 sponsorship?
Indiana does not impose state-level restrictions on E-3 sponsorship beyond federal requirements, but CPA licensure is worth considering. The Indiana Board of Accountancy issues CPA licenses, and requirements include passing the Uniform CPA Exam and meeting education and experience thresholds. For roles where a CPA or CPA-candidate status is expected, confirming your Australian degree meets Indiana's education equivalency standards before applying is a practical step.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 accounting jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
