Which trucking companies in Indiana have sponsored H-1B visas?
Indiana-based carriers and logistics companies with documented H-1B visa filing history include firms operating out of Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, primarily for roles in transportation management, operations analysis, and supply chain engineering. DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data, searchable through the OFLC Wage Search tool, shows which specific employers have filed LCAs for trucking and logistics occupations in Indiana.
Which cities in Indiana have the most trucking H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis leads Indiana for trucking and logistics H-1B activity, given its position at the intersection of several major interstate corridors and its concentration of distribution centers and third-party logistics providers. Fort Wayne and Terre Haute also generate H-1B filings in transportation and logistics management. Smaller markets like Columbus and Jeffersonville see activity tied to large distribution operations along the I-65 corridor.
What types of trucking roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship in Indiana?
H-1B sponsorship in trucking applies to specialty occupation roles, meaning positions that require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In Indiana's trucking sector, qualifying roles typically include transportation logistics managers, supply chain analysts, fleet operations engineers, and freight network planners. Commercial truck driving does not qualify, as it does not meet the specialty occupation degree requirement under USCIS guidelines.
How do I find trucking H-1B sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa type and state, so you can search specifically for H-1B-sponsored roles in Indiana's trucking and logistics sector without sorting through unsponsored postings. The platform surfaces employers with verified LCA filing history, which is the most reliable indicator that a company has actively sponsored H-1B workers. Filter by the trucking or logistics category and Indiana to see current openings.
Are there state-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in Indiana's trucking industry?
Indiana does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal H-1B rules, but employers must comply with DOL prevailing wage obligations for the specific metropolitan statistical area where the role is based. Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and Evansville each have distinct prevailing wage levels for logistics and transportation management occupations, which employers certify on the Labor Condition Application before filing with USCIS. Use the OFLC Wage Search to look up location-specific wage floors.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B trucking jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
