Keep our hotel safe, comfortable, and running smoothly. The Maintenance Technician performs repairs and preventative maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and building systems at Fairfield Inn & Suites Elkhart.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair guest-room issues including plumbing, electrical, HVAC/PTAC units, fixtures, and furniture.
- Maintain public areas, pool, fitness room, exterior grounds, and back-of-house spaces.
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and room inspections; keep accurate work-order logs.
- Respond promptly to guest and team maintenance requests.
- Follow safety procedures and handle chemicals and tools properly.
- Be available for on-call duties as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
REQUIREMENTS
- Prior hotel, building, or general maintenance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work on your feet.
