Overview:
We are seeking a Medical Surgical NA, also referred to Nursing Assistant (NA) or Med-Surg NA. A Med Surg NA will assist with patient care by supporting daily activities, mobility, feeding, and vital signs while monitoring for any changes. Additionally, the Med Surg NA will help nurses by maintaining supplies, assisting with wound care, and ensuring a clean, safe environment.
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time
SHIFT: Nights
LOCATION: Providence Medical Center - Kansas City, KS

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown; you may also feed patients who need assistance and monitor intake/output
- Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration), observe and report changes in a patient’s condition to nurses; you may also help with wound care under the direction of an RN
- Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms; ensure the environment stays clean and safe
- Assist in transporting patients within the hospital
QUALIFICATIONS

- Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current
- High School Diploma

- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
