Which staffing companies in Kansas sponsor H-1B visas?
National staffing firms with Kansas operations, including those serving Wichita's aviation and manufacturing sectors and the Kansas City metro's healthcare and IT corridors, have documented H-1B visa filing histories. Companies specializing in IT staffing, healthcare workforce solutions, and engineering placement tend to file the highest volumes. You can verify a specific firm's LCA filing history through the OFLC's public disclosure data before applying.
Which cities in Kansas have the most staffing H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Wichita and the Kansas side of the Kansas City metro area account for the largest concentration of staffing H-1B activity in the state. Wichita's aviation and defense manufacturing base drives demand for technical and engineering staffing professionals, while the Kansas City corridor supports broader IT and healthcare workforce placement. Overland Park, as a major suburban business hub, also hosts regional offices of national staffing firms with active H-1B programs.
What types of staffing roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship in staffing is generally reserved for specialty occupation roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Within staffing firms, qualifying positions commonly include technical recruiters with IT or engineering credentials, workforce analysts, staffing operations managers with relevant business degrees, and solutions architects placed at client sites. General recruiting or administrative staffing roles without a specific degree requirement rarely meet the specialty occupation standard USCIS applies.
How do I find staffing H-1B sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, you can filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface staffing roles in Kansas where employers have verified H-1B filing histories. This saves significant time compared to manually cross-referencing job postings with OFLC disclosure data. Focus your search on Wichita and the Overland Park and Kansas City metro areas, where staffing firms with active H-1B programs are most concentrated.
Are there any Kansas-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in the staffing industry?
Kansas does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal H-1B rules, but industry context matters. Staffing firms placing workers at Kansas client sites must ensure the Labor Condition Application reflects the actual worksite location, not just the firm's headquarters. For IT and engineering placements common in Wichita's aerospace sector, the LCA wage level must meet the prevailing wage for the client site county, which you can verify using the OFLC Wage Search tool.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B staffing jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
