Which staffing companies sponsor H-1B visas in Kentucky?
National staffing firms with Kentucky operations, including Insight Global, Kelly Services, Staffmark, and Manpower, have filed H-1B visa Labor Condition Applications through the Department of Labor. These companies place workers across technology, healthcare, and engineering sectors statewide. Sponsorship willingness varies by role type and client demand, so confirming H-1B support directly with each employer before applying is worth doing.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most staffing H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Louisville accounts for the largest share of staffing H-1B activity in Kentucky, driven by its healthcare systems, logistics hubs, and corporate headquarters. Lexington follows, with demand tied to its technology sector and the University of Kentucky's research enterprise. Bowling Green and Covington, which sits within the Greater Cincinnati metropolitan area, also generate staffing placements for international workers in manufacturing and professional services.
What types of staffing roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship in staffing requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. In Kentucky's staffing sector, qualifying roles commonly include IT staffing consultants, technical recruiters with software or engineering backgrounds, healthcare staffing coordinators with clinical credentials, and workforce analytics specialists. General recruiting or administrative staffing roles without a degree-specific requirement typically do not qualify.
How do I find staffing H-1B sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters job listings by visa sponsorship type, including H-1B, and by industry. To find staffing H-1B sponsorship jobs in Kentucky, search Migrate Mate using the staffing and recruiting category with Kentucky as your location filter. Listings on Migrate Mate are sourced from employers with documented H-1B sponsorship activity, which saves time compared to manually screening postings that don't specify visa support.
Are there any Kentucky-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in staffing?
Kentucky does not have state-level visa processing requirements, but staffing firms operating as H-1B-dependent employers face additional attestation obligations under federal rules, which can affect hiring timelines. Kentucky's right-to-work status and relatively lower cost of operations attract national staffing firms, increasing the number of employers filing LCAs in the state. Workers placed at third-party client sites must have their work location reflected accurately in the certified LCA and visa petition.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B staffing jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
