Warby Parker was founded with a mission: to inspire and impact the world with vision, purpose, and style.
We're constantly asking ourselves how we can do more and make a greater impact, and that starts by reimagining everything that a company and industry can be. We want to demonstrate that a business can scale while doing good in the world, without charging a premium for it. And we’ve learned that it takes creativity, empathy, and innovation to achieve that goal.
Since the day we launched in 2010, we’ve pioneered ideas, designed products, and developed technologies that help people see. We offer everything you need for happier eyes at a price that leaves you with money in your pocket, from designer-quality glasses and contacts to eye exams and vision tests, and you can meet us online, at our stores, or even in your home. Wherever and whenever you need it, we’re there to make exceptional vision care simple and accessible. (Delightful, too.)
Ultimately, we believe in vision for all, which is why for every pair of glasses or sunglasses we sell, a pair of glasses is distributed to someone in need through our Buy a Pair, Give a Pair program.

Which medical devices companies in Maine sponsor Green Cards?
Idexx Laboratories, headquartered in Scarborough, is among Maine's most prominent medical devices employers with a history of sponsoring skilled foreign nationals. Smaller contract manufacturers and device component suppliers operating in the Portland and Bangor areas also sponsor Green Cards for specialized roles, though sponsorship frequency depends on the position, the employer's size, and whether the role requires hard-to-fill technical expertise.
Which cities in Maine have the most medical devices Green Card sponsorship jobs?
The Portland metro area, including Scarborough and South Portland, holds the highest concentration of medical devices employment in Maine, driven largely by Idexx Laboratories and affiliated suppliers. Bangor serves as a secondary hub, with some device manufacturing and healthcare technology operations. Smaller manufacturing towns along the coast occasionally have openings, but most Green Card sponsoring employers are clustered in the greater Portland region.
What types of medical devices roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Maine?
Roles that regularly qualify include research scientists, biomedical engineers, regulatory affairs specialists, quality engineers, software engineers working on device firmware or diagnostics software, and manufacturing process engineers. These positions generally require at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and many Green Card petitions in the devices sector proceed through the EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based preference categories following PERM labor certification.
How do I find medical devices Green Card sponsorship jobs in Maine?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find medical devices jobs in Maine where employers are actively offering Green Card sponsorship. Rather than sorting through general job boards and guessing at sponsorship willingness, Migrate Mate filters specifically for visa sponsorship, letting you focus on employers in Maine's devices sector who have indicated they support permanent residence pathways for qualified international candidates.
Are there any state-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in Maine's medical devices industry?
Maine's medical devices sector is smaller than those in Massachusetts or Minnesota, which means fewer employers overall but also less competition for sponsored roles when they do appear. Because many Maine device employers are mid-sized or regional, sponsorship decisions are often made case by case rather than through formal global mobility programs. Candidates with niche technical skills in diagnostics or veterinary devices may find Maine employers particularly receptive, given the specialized nature of the local industry.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card medical devices jobs in Maine?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
