Which visa types are most common for staffing roles in Massachusetts?
H-1B visas are standard for professional recruiting roles requiring specialized skills in technical staffing or account management. E-3 visas work well for Australian candidates in business development positions. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying roles. Some companies also sponsor O-1 visas for recruiting professionals with exceptional track records in executive search or specialized industry expertise.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most staffing sponsorship jobs?

Cambridge follows closely due to its biotech and tech company presence driving recruiting demand. Worcester, Springfield, and Lowell offer additional opportunities, often with less competition. What prevailing wage considerations affect staffing jobs in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts prevailing wages for staffing roles are typically higher than national averages, particularly in Boston and Cambridge markets. Companies must meet these wage requirements for successful visa petitions, which can vary significantly between entry-level and experienced recruiting positions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored staffing jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
