Which construction companies sponsor Green Card visas in New Hampshire?
Regional general contractors, civil engineering firms, and specialty subcontractors in New Hampshire are the most active Green Card sponsors in construction. Companies with sustained infrastructure and commercial building pipelines, including firms working on state highway projects and large residential developments, are more likely to sponsor through EB-3 for skilled trades or EB-2 for engineers and project managers. Larger national contractors with NH operations also file regularly.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most construction Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua, as New Hampshire's two largest cities, concentrate the most construction employment and sponsorship activity, driven by ongoing commercial development and residential expansion. Concord, as the state capital, supports steady public infrastructure work. The Seacoast region around Portsmouth also generates construction demand tied to commercial and mixed-use development, making it a secondary market worth targeting for sponsored roles.
What types of construction roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in New Hampshire?
EB-3 sponsorship in construction commonly covers skilled trades requiring documented training or apprenticeship, such as electricians, plumbers, ironworkers, and heavy equipment operators. EB-2 sponsorship applies to civil engineers, structural engineers, and project managers with relevant bachelor's degrees or higher. Roles requiring specialized expertise that is demonstrably difficult to fill locally tend to receive stronger employer investment in the PERM labor certification process.
How do I find construction Green Card sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate lists construction jobs with verified Green Card sponsorship in New Hampshire, letting you filter by visa type and industry so you're not sorting through roles that don't sponsor. Search specifically for EB-2 and EB-3 positions with New Hampshire-based employers in the construction and real estate category. Reaching out directly to regional general contractors and civil firms active in Manchester, Nashua, and Concord also improves your chances.
Are there state-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in New Hampshire's construction industry?
New Hampshire has no state income tax, which can make compensation packages more straightforward to negotiate. Construction employers here operate under relatively tight skilled labor markets, which strengthens the PERM labor certification argument that qualified U.S. workers are unavailable. Seasonal construction cycles also affect hiring timelines, with employers typically initiating sponsorship processes during fall and winter in preparation for spring project starts.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card construction jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
