Which artificial intelligence companies sponsor E-3 visas in New Jersey?
New Jersey has a strong base of E-3-sponsoring employers in AI, particularly in financial services and life sciences. Firms like Prudential Financial, Johnson & Johnson, and Cognizant have filed Labor Condition Applications for AI and machine learning roles. Large tech consultancies operating out of Jersey City and Iselin also sponsor E-3 workers for data science and AI engineering positions. Checking OFLC disclosure data shows which specific employers have filed recently.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most artificial intelligence E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Jersey City leads for AI roles due to its proximity to New York's financial sector, with many fintech and quantitative analytics firms sponsoring E-3 workers. Princeton is a strong second, anchored by research-intensive employers and the university ecosystem. Parsippany and Florham Park host pharmaceutical and insurance companies that recruit AI talent for clinical analytics and risk modeling. Newark is growing as a tech hub with state-backed investment in digital infrastructure.
What types of artificial intelligence roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that qualify for E-3 sponsorship must meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning they require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In AI, this typically covers machine learning engineer, data scientist, natural language processing specialist, computer vision engineer, and AI research scientist positions. Roles like AI product manager or AI prompt engineer may qualify but require stronger documentation showing degree-to-role alignment. O*NET profiles can help establish the theoretical and practical application requirements for a given title.
How do I find artificial intelligence E-3 sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for E-3-sponsoring employers hiring in New Jersey's AI sector, drawing on verified DOL Labor Condition Application filing history so you can see which companies have actually sponsored the visa type before. This avoids the time cost of applying to employers unfamiliar with the E-3. Filtering by job function and location within Migrate Mate surfaces roles in machine learning, data science, and AI engineering at New Jersey employers with a documented sponsorship track record.
Are there any state-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in New Jersey's AI industry?
New Jersey does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal obligations, but employers must comply with New Jersey's prevailing wage determinations when filing a Labor Condition Application. The state's AI hiring is concentrated in regulated industries, financial services, insurance, and pharmaceuticals, where internal legal and compliance teams typically manage E-3 filings. This can mean more structured onboarding for sponsored workers but also greater employer familiarity with the process compared to smaller startups.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 artificial intelligence jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
