Which distribution and wholesale companies sponsor E-3 visas in New Jersey?
New Jersey hosts regional operations for large distributors including AmerisourceBergen, Sysco, HD Supply, and Wesco International, all of which have filed Labor Condition Applications for specialty occupation roles. Wholesale trade companies concentrated along the Route 1 corridor and near Port Newark also sponsor E-3 workers in procurement, logistics analysis, and operations management. Sponsorship activity varies by role and hiring cycle, so checking DOL LCA disclosure data gives the most current picture of active filers.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most distribution and wholesale E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Newark and Elizabeth benefit from proximity to Port Newark-Elizabeth Marine Terminal, one of the busiest ports on the East Coast, making them natural hubs for wholesale trade and distribution roles. Edison, Piscataway, and Woodbridge sit along the Route 1 corridor where major distribution centers cluster. Cherry Hill and Mount Laurel in South Jersey attract wholesale operations serving the Philadelphia metro. These locations consistently appear in LCA filings for supply chain and procurement positions.
What types of distribution and wholesale roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field meet the E-3 specialty occupation standard. In distribution and wholesale, qualifying positions commonly include supply chain analyst, logistics manager, procurement specialist, demand planning analyst, and operations research analyst. General warehouse supervisor or driver roles typically do not qualify because they don't require a specific bachelor's degree. O*NET occupation profiles can help confirm whether a particular job title meets the degree-requirement threshold.
How do I find distribution and wholesale E-3 sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa type and industry, so you can search specifically for New Jersey distribution and wholesale roles where employers have confirmed E-3 sponsorship. Because E-3 requires an employer to file a Labor Condition Application before you can apply for the visa, focusing on companies with an established LCA filing history in this sector saves time. Migrate Mate surfaces that employer filing history alongside each listing, helping you prioritize outreach to active sponsors.
Are there any New Jersey-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in distribution and wholesale?
New Jersey's prevailing wage determinations are set at the state level through the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool, and wages in the Newark-Jersey City metro area tend to be higher than national averages for supply chain and logistics roles, which affects the wage floor your employer must certify on the LCA. New Jersey also has its own state wage and hour laws that run alongside federal requirements. Employers operating near Port Newark may fall under additional federal compliance obligations tied to port and customs operations.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 distribution & wholesale jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
