Which distribution and wholesale companies in Ohio sponsor E-3 visas?
Ohio is home to several large distribution and wholesale employers with documented sponsorship activity, including Cardinal Health and McKesson in the pharmaceutical distribution space, Fastenal in industrial wholesale, and major third-party logistics operators with hubs near Columbus and Cleveland. Sponsorship is more common at companies with established HR and legal infrastructure, typically mid-size to enterprise-level employers rather than small regional distributors.
Which cities in Ohio have the most distribution and wholesale E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Columbus leads in distribution and wholesale E-3 opportunities due to its central location and concentration of logistics operations, including several Fortune 500 distribution headquarters. Cleveland supports wholesale activity tied to manufacturing and industrial supply chains, while Cincinnati benefits from its proximity to major interstate corridors and cross-border freight activity. Smaller markets like Dayton and Toledo also have distribution employers, though with less frequent E-3 sponsorship history.
What types of distribution and wholesale roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship in this sector is generally available for specialty occupation roles that require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Qualifying positions commonly include supply chain analyst, procurement specialist, logistics operations manager, demand planning analyst, and wholesale category manager. General warehouse, forklift, or driver roles do not meet the specialty occupation standard, since they do not require a degree-level qualification as a minimum entry requirement.
How do I find distribution and wholesale E-3 sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for E-3 job seekers and surfaces Ohio distribution and wholesale employers with verified E-3 Labor Condition Application filing history, so you can focus on companies that have already sponsored the visa type. Filtering by industry and state narrows results to relevant roles in Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. You can also cross-reference employer filings directly through the OFLC Wage Search tool to confirm prevailing wage data before applying.
Are there any Ohio-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in distribution and wholesale?
Ohio does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal E-3 obligations, but employers in the distribution sector here often operate across multiple states, which can affect where the Labor Condition Application is filed and which prevailing wage applies. Ohio's status as a major logistics corridor means some positions involve multi-site responsibilities, so confirming the primary worksite with your employer before the LCA is filed is important for maintaining accurate E-3 documentation.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 distribution & wholesale jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
