Which distribution and wholesale companies sponsor E-3 visas in New York?
Large distributors and wholesale operators with New York-area footprints, including Sysco, U.S. Foods, Brenntag, and major consumer goods wholesalers headquartered in or near the metro, have sponsored specialty occupation visas. Corporate roles in supply chain management, procurement, logistics operations, and trade compliance are the most common sponsorship-eligible functions within these organizations.
Which cities in New York have the most distribution and wholesale E-3 sponsorship jobs?
New York City, particularly the Bronx and Brooklyn, holds the highest concentration of distribution and wholesale employers given its port infrastructure and dense commercial networks. Buffalo and Albany see activity in regional wholesale trade, especially food distribution and industrial supply. Long Island's industrial corridors also support wholesale operations with corporate roles that can qualify for E-3 sponsorship.
What types of distribution and wholesale roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship requires a specialty occupation, meaning the role must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. In distribution and wholesale, qualifying positions typically include supply chain analysts, logistics coordinators, procurement specialists, trade compliance managers, and operations analysts. General warehouse or driver roles do not meet the specialty occupation threshold and are not E-3 eligible.
How do I find distribution and wholesale E-3 sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa-sponsored roles, including distribution and wholesale E-3 jobs in New York. Rather than sorting through listings with no sponsorship clarity, Migrate Mate filters for employers open to E-3 applicants so Australian professionals can focus on genuinely accessible opportunities in New York's wholesale and distribution sector.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in distribution and wholesale?
New York's competitive labor market means employers filing a Labor Condition Application must meet prevailing wage requirements set for the New York metro area, which are typically higher than national averages. Additionally, roles in New York City may involve state and city labor regulations that affect job descriptions used in the LCA. Working with an immigration attorney familiar with New York wage determinations is advisable before the employer files.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 distribution & wholesale jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
