Which artificial intelligence companies sponsor E-3 visas in Colorado?
Google has a significant presence in Boulder, and Amazon Web Services operates teams across the Denver metro area, both with documented E-3 sponsorship histories in technical roles. Lockheed Martin and Raytheon Intelligence & Space, headquartered in the Denver area, also hire AI and machine learning engineers. Colorado's growing startup ecosystem includes AI-focused companies, though sponsorship capacity varies considerably among smaller firms.
Which cities in Colorado have the most artificial intelligence E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Denver and Boulder account for the large majority of artificial intelligence E-3 sponsorship opportunities in Colorado. Boulder hosts a dense cluster of tech companies and university-affiliated research spinoffs near the University of Colorado. Denver's downtown and Cherry Creek corridors attract enterprise tech employers. Colorado Springs has a smaller but active AI hiring market driven by defense contractors and government technology firms.
What types of artificial intelligence roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that qualify for E-3 sponsorship must meet the specialty occupation standard, requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field. In artificial intelligence, this typically includes machine learning engineer, data scientist, AI research scientist, natural language processing engineer, and computer vision engineer positions. Roles requiring a general business or unrelated degree, or where no specific degree field is required, are less likely to qualify.
How do I find artificial intelligence E-3 sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian nationals seeking E-3 sponsorship and lists artificial intelligence roles in Colorado from employers with documented sponsorship activity. Filtering by Colorado and the artificial intelligence category on Migrate Mate surfaces relevant positions without the noise of general job boards. Focusing on established tech employers in Denver and Boulder, who have prior E-3 or H-1B sponsorship history, improves your chances of finding a genuine match.
Are there any Colorado-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in artificial intelligence?
Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers to disclose compensation ranges in job postings, which gives E-3 applicants useful information when assessing whether a role's offered wage meets the prevailing wage standard required for the Labor Condition Application. Colorado also has no state-level restrictions on sponsoring foreign nationals, so the E-3 process follows standard federal requirements. Defense-related AI roles may require security clearances that are generally unavailable to non-citizens, narrowing some opportunities.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 artificial intelligence jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
