Which distribution & wholesale companies sponsor Green Card visas in New York?
Large employers with established immigration programs are the most consistent Green Card sponsors in New York's distribution and wholesale sector. Companies like Amazon, FedEx, XPO Logistics, and C&S Wholesale Grocers have sponsored permanent residence for supply chain and operations roles. Mid-size regional distributors also sponsor, though their programs tend to be less predictable. Sponsorship decisions depend on the role, the candidate's qualifications, and the employer's legal infrastructure.
Which cities in New York have the most distribution & wholesale Green Card sponsorship jobs?
New York City, particularly the Bronx and Brooklyn, is the densest market for distribution and wholesale employment in the state, with major fulfillment centers, food distribution operations, and wholesale trade headquarters. The Hudson Valley corridor, including Newburgh and Poughkeepsie, has growing logistics infrastructure. Buffalo and Albany serve as regional distribution hubs for western and central New York, with meaningful employer activity in both markets.
What types of distribution & wholesale roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in New York?
Roles that require specialized education or technical expertise are most commonly sponsored. Supply chain analysts, logistics managers, procurement specialists, warehouse operations managers, and distribution center directors are among the positions where employers pursue Green Card sponsorship. Roles requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in fields like supply chain management, logistics, or business typically qualify under the EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based categories. Entry-level or general labor roles are rarely sponsored.
How do I find distribution & wholesale Green Card sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers looking for visa-sponsored roles, including distribution and wholesale Green Card jobs in New York. You can filter by visa type and industry to surface employers actively open to sponsorship. Because sponsorship willingness is rarely stated clearly in standard job postings, using a platform focused on sponsored roles saves significant time compared to general job searching.
Are there any state-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in New York's distribution & wholesale sector?
New York's high cost of living and competitive labor market mean employers often face pressure to recruit internationally for skilled supply chain and logistics roles, which can make them more open to sponsorship. New York State also has strong labor law protections that affect the PERM labor certification process, requiring employers to demonstrate genuine recruitment efforts before sponsoring a foreign worker. Working with an experienced immigration attorney is advisable given the complexity of PERM compliance in this state.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card distribution & wholesale jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
