We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join a growing long-term care pharmacy team. This position focuses on medication management, controlled substances, and delivering quality pharmaceutical care to long-term care facilities and assisted living communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review medication orders for appropriate drug selection, dosage, interactions, and administration.
- Handle controlled substances and narcotics in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Recommend therapy changes to physicians and facility staff when necessary.
- Maintain patient medication records, medical histories, and clinical data.
- Investigate and resolve medication-related inquiries.
- Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Supervise medication preparation and maintain controlled-drug registers.
- Ensure proper medication security and perform on-call duties when required.
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license in the State of Ohio (required).
- Previous narcotics or controlled-substance experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Ability to multitask and communicate effectively.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform light lifting.
