Major Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage North American sales activities with assigned regional accounts with goal of maximizing sales profitability at these accounts.
- Maximize sales growth through new business development activities to support long term growth of Specialty Films.
- Define and help establish key pricing strategies with sales/commercial lead, to achieve desired market share. Negotiate price revisions and sales contracts.
- Collect and communicate strategic competitive and industry information to business teams to help drive growth strategy initiatives and analyze product offerings/portfolio.
- Provide account activity reports and consistent tracking of opportunities.
- Participate in industry associations and trade shows, attending events to maintain and share knowledge on industry trends.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of professional sales experience in chemical industry or in plastics manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree discipline in Material Science
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of plastic materials; properties, applications and fabrication techniques
- Familiarity with plastics films extrusion
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proficiency in digital platforms and business software including Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and selling skills
- Ability to travel up to 75%
