Which transportation companies sponsor E-3 visas in Pennsylvania?
Several large transportation and logistics employers operating in Pennsylvania have filed Labor Condition Applications for specialty-occupation roles, including UPS, FedEx, Norfolk Southern, and CSX, which maintain significant operations or hub facilities in the state. Port-related logistics firms in Philadelphia and intermodal operators near Pittsburgh also appear in OFLC disclosure data. Sponsorship patterns vary by employer and fiscal year, so reviewing current LCA filings gives the most accurate picture.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most transportation E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia and Pittsburgh generate the highest concentration of transportation E-3 sponsorship activity in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia's port, airport cargo operations, and proximity to major East Coast freight corridors attract logistics and supply chain employers who file LCAs for specialty roles. Pittsburgh's intermodal rail connections and growing freight infrastructure support similar demand. Allentown and Harrisburg also appear in filings, particularly for regional distribution and fleet operations management roles.
What types of transportation roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship applies to specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In transportation and logistics, qualifying roles commonly include transportation engineers, logistics analysts, supply chain managers, operations research analysts, and fleet systems engineers. Roles that require general management without a specific degree nexus are less likely to qualify. O*NET occupation profiles can help confirm whether a given job title meets the specialty-occupation standard USCIS applies.
How do I find transportation E-3 sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa type and industry, making it straightforward to search for transportation E-3 sponsorship roles in Pennsylvania without wading through postings from employers with no LCA filing history. You can narrow results to the Philadelphia or Pittsburgh metro areas and filter by transportation and logistics roles. Migrate Mate surfaces employer-verified sponsorship data drawn from OFLC Labor Condition Application records, so you can prioritize companies with a documented track record of E-3 filings.
Are there Pennsylvania-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in transportation?
Pennsylvania's transportation sector includes federally regulated carriers, port authorities, and interstate freight operations, which can add compliance layers around DOL prevailing-wage determinations for certain roles. Employers subject to federal contractor requirements may also need to maintain E-Verify enrollment. Australian applicants should confirm that their prospective employer has filed or is prepared to file a certified LCA before applying for an E-3 visa, as the certified LCA is a required document at the consular interview stage.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 transportation jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
