Which transportation companies sponsor E-3 visas in Texas?
Texas-based and nationally operating transportation employers with significant Texas presences, including freight carriers, third-party logistics firms, and aviation companies operating through DFW and Houston's airports, have filed E-3 Labor Condition Applications in prior years. Companies such as American Airlines, FedEx, and major intermodal logistics operators headquartered or regionally based in Texas appear in DOL LCA disclosure data as E-3 sponsors for qualifying professional roles.
Which cities in Texas have the most transportation E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads Texas for transportation E-3 sponsorship activity, driven by its role as a major aviation, freight, and logistics hub. Houston ranks second, supported by its port operations, energy logistics, and air cargo activity. San Antonio and Austin also generate sponsorship opportunities, particularly in supply chain management, operations analysis, and transportation planning roles tied to regional distribution networks.
What types of transportation roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship requires a specialty occupation, meaning the role must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In transportation, qualifying roles commonly include logistics analysts, supply chain managers, transportation planners, operations research analysts, and air traffic or freight coordination specialists. General driver, warehouse, or non-degree operational roles typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard required for E-3 eligibility.
How do I find transportation E-3 sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa type and industry, making it straightforward to search for transportation roles where Texas employers have active E-3 sponsorship history. Because Migrate Mate surfaces DOL Labor Condition Application filing data by employer and occupation, you can identify which Texas transportation companies have previously filed E-3 LCAs for roles matching your background, rather than applying broadly and asking employers about sponsorship mid-process.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in transportation?
Texas has no state-level visa sponsorship requirements that differ from federal E-3 rules, but the state's size and industry concentration matter practically. Transportation employers in Texas often operate across multiple jurisdictions, which can affect where your Labor Condition Application is filed and which prevailing wage region applies. If your role spans multiple Texas metros, confirm with your employer which worksite location governs the LCA, as prevailing wage levels vary between the Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio metropolitan areas.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 transportation jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
