Which trucking companies in Pennsylvania have sponsored H-1B visas?
Pennsylvania-based carriers and logistics firms that have filed Labor Condition Applications for trucking-related roles include large regional freight operators, third-party logistics providers, and intermodal companies with terminals near Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. DOL LCA disclosure data, searchable through the OFLC Wage Search tool, shows which employers have actively petitioned for H-1B visa workers in transportation and logistics occupations across the state.
Which Pennsylvania cities have the most trucking H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia leads in H-1B trucking and logistics sponsorship activity, driven by its major port, rail connections, and dense distribution network. Pittsburgh supports sponsorship through its manufacturing and freight sectors. Allentown and the Lehigh Valley have grown significantly as warehouse and logistics hubs, attracting carriers seeking specialized operations and technology talent, making the I-78 and I-81 corridors particularly active for H-1B trucking roles.
What trucking roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship in Pennsylvania?
H-1B visas require the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In trucking, roles that typically meet this standard include transportation engineers, logistics analysts, supply chain managers, fleet technology specialists, and operations research analysts. Commercial driver positions generally do not qualify because they don't require a specific bachelor's degree as a standard entry requirement.
How do I find trucking H-1B sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for H-1B-sponsored trucking roles in Pennsylvania, showing employers with verified DOL LCA filing history so you can focus on companies that have already demonstrated willingness to sponsor. Search by occupation, location, and visa type to surface active openings from Pennsylvania carriers and logistics firms. This is more targeted than broad job searches because sponsorship history is built into the results.
Are there Pennsylvania-specific considerations for H-1B trucking sponsorship?
Pennsylvania employers sponsoring H-1B workers in trucking and logistics must file a certified LCA with DOL before submitting the H-1B petition to USCIS, confirming the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the occupation in the specific Pennsylvania metro area. Prevailing wages differ between Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and smaller markets like Erie or Scranton, so the wage requirement varies by worksite location. Employers with multiple Pennsylvania terminals must account for each work location in the LCA filing.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B trucking jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
