Tennessee's diverse economy creates consistent demand for experienced HR professionals.
Which visa types are most common for human resources roles in Tennessee?

Large employers may also sponsor L-1 visas for international transfers and O-1 visas for HR professionals with extraordinary expertise in areas like labor relations or executive compensation.

Do Tennessee's prevailing wages affect HR visa sponsorship applications?
Tennessee's lower cost of living means prevailing wages for HR roles are typically below national averages, which can make sponsorship more attractive to employers due to reduced Labor Condition Application requirements. What is the prevailing wage for sponsored human resources jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
