Which distribution and wholesale companies sponsor Green Cards in Texas?
Several large employers with significant Texas operations are known to sponsor Green Cards in distribution and wholesale. These include Sysco (headquartered in Houston), McKesson (Irving), McLane Company (Temple), and Amazon, which operates numerous fulfillment and distribution centers across the state. Multinational wholesale and logistics firms with Texas regional headquarters also sponsor permanent residency for specialized operational and technical roles.
Which cities in Texas have the most distribution and wholesale Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth leads the state, given its position as one of the largest inland logistics hubs in the U.S., with extensive warehouse, wholesale, and distribution infrastructure. Houston follows closely, driven by port-related distribution activity and major corporate headquarters. San Antonio and Austin also have meaningful concentrations of distribution employers, particularly as e-commerce fulfillment and regional wholesale operations continue expanding across Central Texas.
What types of distribution and wholesale roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Texas?
Green Card sponsorship in distribution and wholesale most commonly applies to roles requiring specialized skills that are harder to fill locally. These include supply chain analysts, logistics engineers, operations managers, procurement specialists, IT roles supporting warehouse management systems, and finance positions within wholesale operations. Frontline warehouse roles rarely receive Green Card sponsorship, whereas positions requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field are more likely to qualify under EB-2 or EB-3 categories.
How do I find distribution and wholesale Green Card sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically to surface jobs where employers are willing to sponsor immigration, including Green Card sponsorship in distribution and wholesale. You can filter directly by Texas, the distribution and wholesale industry, and Green Card visa type to see relevant openings. This saves significant time compared to manually screening postings that don't mention sponsorship, which is the norm on general job boards.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in distribution and wholesale?
Texas has no state income tax, which can be a relevant factor when evaluating total compensation for sponsored roles. The state's size and decentralized geography mean that job location matters practically, since Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio each have distinct employer concentrations. Green Card sponsorship timelines and processes are governed by federal law and are consistent nationally, but Texas-based employers in high-volume distribution tend to have established immigration counsel and HR processes for handling sponsorship, particularly at larger companies.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card distribution & wholesale jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
