WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Provide cross-portfolio oversight of construction execution, safety performance, quality, schedule adherence, and cost control across active projects
- Serve as a senior escalation point for project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and field leadership teams
- Conduct routine site visits, construction reviews, and operational audits to identify execution risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities
- Support field leadership development by mentoring superintendents and reinforcing NorthStar operational standards and expectations
- Partner with project controls, procurement, engineering, pre-construction, and operations teams to support coordinated project execution
- Ensure field execution aligns with design intent, contractual requirements, project schedules, and client expectations
- Support labor planning, equipment forecasting, work sequencing, and resource allocation across multiple projects
- Represent NorthStar Energy Services in front of clients, contractors, and stakeholders while maintaining strong working relationships
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, lessons learned reviews, and operational consistency across the construction portfolio
- Promote a strong safety culture through active engagement, field presence, and support of company safety expectations and procedures
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 10+ years of experience in industrial, energy, or infrastructure construction environments with 5+ years in a project management, construction management, or operational leadership capacity
- Strong background managing mechanical and piping scopes including process piping, large-bore piping, equipment setting, hydrotesting, and mechanical completions
- Demonstrated success overseeing multiple concurrent construction projects with responsibility for execution, schedule performance, resource coordination, and cost management
- Working knowledge of civil construction scopes including foundations, underground utilities, grading, and sitework sufficient to support field teams and challenge execution strategies
- Proven ability to partner effectively with project managers, superintendents, engineering, project controls, procurement, and clients in fast-paced project environments
- Strong understanding of construction planning, scheduling, project controls, forecasting, and operational reporting
- Experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar scheduling and cost-control platforms preferred
- Ability to identify execution risks early, support problem resolution, and drive accountability across multiple project teams
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to build credibility across both field and client organizations
- Ability to travel extensively to active project sites as required
WHAT YOU'LL GET:
As a Quanta Services employee, we offer a wide range of benefits to fit your needs.
- 401(k) with immediate matching and vesting

Tips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship Jobs in Texas
Target Texas's largest PERM-filing industries
Energy, semiconductors, healthcare, and enterprise software dominate Green Card sponsorship in Texas. Focusing your search on employers in these sectors significantly increases your odds of finding a role with an established sponsorship pathway already in place.
Research employer PERM filing history before applying
The Department of Labor's OFLC disclosure data is publicly available and shows which Texas employers have filed PERM labor certifications by company name, job title, and metro area. Use this to prioritize applications to proven sponsors before you reach the offer stage.
Concentrate your search in Houston, Dallas, and Austin
These three metros account for the vast majority of Texas Green Card sponsorship activity. Houston leads in energy and petrochemical roles, Dallas-Fort Worth in finance and technology, and Austin in software engineering and semiconductor design.
Prioritize employers with in-house immigration counsel
Large Texas employers, particularly those with 500 or more employees, typically have dedicated legal teams or retained immigration law firms. These organizations run more predictable PERM processes and are less likely to abandon a sponsorship mid-process due to administrative burden.
Use Migrate Mate to find verified sponsorship roles
When searching for Green Card sponsorship jobs in Texas, Migrate Mate filters listings by visa type so you only see roles where employers have confirmed sponsorship willingness, saving time you'd otherwise spend vetting hundreds of unfiltered postings manually.
Understand the EB-2 versus EB-3 distinction for your role
Many Texas employers file under EB-3 for standard professional roles and EB-2 for positions requiring advanced degrees or exceptional expertise. Knowing which category your background fits helps you target the right employers and negotiate sponsorship expectations before accepting an offer.

Which industries in Texas sponsor the most Green Cards?
Technology and software, oil and gas, healthcare, and semiconductor manufacturing lead Green Card sponsorship activity in Texas. Houston's energy sector files heavily under EB-2 and EB-3 for engineering roles. Austin's tech corridor, anchored by employers like Dell, Apple, and Tesla, generates significant volume in software and hardware disciplines. Healthcare systems across Dallas-Fort Worth also file consistently for physicians and nurses.
Which cities in Texas have the most Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Austin account for the largest share of Green Card sponsorship activity in Texas. Houston dominates in energy and chemical engineering roles. Dallas-Fort Worth is the center for financial services, enterprise technology, and telecommunications. Austin has grown rapidly as a technology hub, attracting semiconductor firms and software companies that sponsor at high volume. San Antonio has a smaller but active healthcare and cybersecurity sponsorship market.
What types of roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Texas?
Roles in software engineering, petroleum engineering, data science, electrical engineering, financial analysis, and medicine are among the most commonly sponsored positions in Texas. These positions typically require a relevant bachelor's degree or higher and are classified as specialty occupations for EB-2 or EB-3 purposes. Roles where the degree requirement is specific to the field, not just any bachelor's degree, are generally stronger PERM candidates.
How do I find Green Card sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate lists jobs in Texas filtered specifically by Green Card sponsorship, so you can search by industry or metro area without manually screening hundreds of postings. Beyond job boards, reviewing the Department of Labor's OFLC PERM disclosure data shows you which Texas employers have active sponsorship track records, giving you a verified shortlist of companies worth targeting directly.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
