Search Media & Entertainment Jobs in TexasMedia & Entertainment Green Card Sponsorship Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
Which media and entertainment companies sponsor Green Card visas in Texas?
Several large employers in Texas have established Green Card sponsorship programs for media and entertainment talent. AT&T and its WarnerMedia divisions in Dallas have sponsored permanent residence for content, engineering, and production roles. NBCUniversal has a presence in the state, as do gaming companies like Gearbox Entertainment in Frisco. Larger broadcast groups and digital media firms with Texas operations regularly file PERM labor certifications for experienced hires.
Which cities in Texas have the most media and entertainment Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Dallas-Fort Worth is the leading market, home to major broadcast, advertising, and telecommunications companies with active sponsorship programs. Austin has grown significantly as a hub for gaming studios, streaming technology firms, and digital content companies. Houston has a smaller but active media sector, particularly in corporate communications and broadcast journalism. San Antonio has emerging opportunities in digital media and entertainment production.
What types of media and entertainment roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Texas?
Roles that typically qualify involve specialized skills tied to a specific degree field. Software engineers and technical directors in gaming and streaming, broadcast engineers, post-production supervisors, content strategists, and animation artists are among the positions Texas employers have sponsored. Roles requiring a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field are best positioned for PERM-based sponsorship under the EB-2 or EB-3 categories.
How do I find media and entertainment Green Card sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship type, letting you search for media and entertainment roles in Texas where employers are actively sponsoring Green Cards. Rather than sorting through general job boards and guessing at sponsorship willingness, Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsorship opportunities. You can filter by industry, state, and visa type to find roles in cities like Dallas, Austin, and Houston that match your background.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in media and entertainment?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects how employers structure compensation packages but does not change federal Green Card sponsorship requirements. The PERM labor certification process requires employers to demonstrate no qualified U.S. worker is available, which can be more competitive in saturated markets like digital marketing. Texas-based employers also tend to favor candidates already present in the U.S. on a valid work visa, such as H-1B visa or O-1 visa status, before initiating PERM.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card media & entertainment jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
