Which media and entertainment companies sponsor Green Card visas in Utah?
Adobe's Utah offices, Ancestry (which produces documentary and digital content), and gaming studios along the Silicon Slopes corridor have sponsored Green Card petitions for technical and creative staff. Broadcast organizations like KSL and Deseret Media Group also operate in the state. Sponsorship is most common at larger companies with established HR and immigration infrastructure, where roles are ongoing and difficult to fill domestically.
Which cities in Utah have the most media and entertainment Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City is the primary hub, home to broadcast networks, digital media companies, and production facilities. Lehi and Provo in the Silicon Slopes corridor concentrate gaming, software-driven media, and streaming technology employers. Ogden has a smaller but active film and production support community. Most Green Card sponsorship activity in the state is concentrated along the Wasatch Front, where the largest employers are located.
What types of media and entertainment roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Utah?
Roles requiring specialized degrees or skills see the most sponsorship activity: software engineers building streaming or gaming platforms, data analysts, UX designers, audio engineers, and post-production specialists. Creative roles such as art directors or animation leads at established studios also qualify when the position requires a specific degree. General production assistant or entry-level roles are far less likely to be sponsored for permanent residence.
How do I find media and entertainment Green Card sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa type and industry, so you can search for media and entertainment roles in Utah where employers have indicated Green Card sponsorship. This is more efficient than general job searches because sponsorship eligibility is surfaced directly. Look for employers with existing immigration programs, as they move through the PERM labor certification and I-140 petition process more consistently than first-time sponsors.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in media and entertainment?
Utah's film incentive program attracts production companies to the state, but those projects are often short-term and unlikely to support the multi-year Green Card process, which requires a permanent, ongoing position. Technology-driven media companies in the Silicon Slopes region are better positioned to sponsor because they hire for permanent roles. The PERM labor certification requires employers to document that no qualified U.S. worker is available, so roles with very broad skill requirements can face more scrutiny.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card media & entertainment jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
