Which consulting companies sponsor H-1B visas in Utah?
The large professional services firms with Utah offices are among the most active H-1B visa sponsors in the state. Deloitte, Accenture, KPMG, PwC, and EY all have a presence in Salt Lake City and have filed H-1B petitions for consulting roles. Mid-size IT consulting firms supporting Utah's technology and financial services sectors also sponsor regularly, particularly for specialized technical and management positions.
Which cities in Utah have the most consulting H-1B sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the majority of consulting H-1B sponsorship activity in Utah, with Sandy, Provo, and Lehi also generating demand through the Silicon Slopes tech corridor. Lehi in particular has grown as a hub for IT consulting and professional services firms serving software and fintech companies. Most large consulting employers with Utah offices are located within the greater Salt Lake metropolitan area.
What types of consulting roles typically qualify for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B sponsorship applies to specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field directly related to the role. In consulting, this typically covers management consulting, IT consulting, strategy, financial advisory, and technology implementation roles. Positions requiring expertise in areas like systems integration, enterprise software, cybersecurity, or data analytics generally meet the specialty occupation standard that the H-1B requires.
How do I find consulting H-1B sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters consulting H-1B sponsorship jobs in Utah by employer, role type, and location. Unlike general job boards, Migrate Mate focuses on visa-sponsoring employers, which saves time when searching for positions in Utah's consulting sector. You can browse verified H-1B sponsoring consulting firms active in Salt Lake City and the broader Wasatch Front region.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for H-1B sponsorship in consulting?
Utah's consulting market is closely tied to the Silicon Slopes technology corridor, meaning many H-1B consulting roles involve technology implementation or IT advisory work for software and fintech clients rather than traditional management consulting. Consulting firms placing workers at client sites across Utah must ensure the Labor Condition Application covers all work locations, which can affect how petitions are structured for project-based consulting assignments.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B consulting jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
