Which fashion & apparel companies in Washington sponsor Green Card visas?
Seattle-based Nordstrom is the most prominent fashion employer in Washington with a history of sponsoring permanent residence for corporate and technical roles. Outdoor and lifestyle apparel brands including REI, Filson, and Eddie Bauer also have Washington headquarters and have sponsored Green Cards for specialized positions in design, product development, merchandising, and e-commerce technology. Sponsorship practices vary by role, department, and business need.
Which cities in Washington have the most fashion & apparel Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Seattle accounts for the large majority of fashion and apparel Green Card sponsorship activity in Washington, driven by its concentration of apparel headquarters and corporate offices. Bellevue and Redmond also see some activity as employers expand operations across the Eastside. Outside the greater Seattle metro, apparel sponsorship opportunities are limited, as most Washington fashion employers maintain their primary hiring hubs in King County.
What types of fashion & apparel roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Washington?
Roles most commonly sponsored for Green Cards in Washington's fashion and apparel sector include product designers, technical designers, merchandise planners, supply chain analysts, sourcing managers, and e-commerce or digital product managers. Technology-adjacent roles within apparel companies, such as data analysts and software engineers supporting retail platforms, are also frequently sponsored. Positions requiring specialized expertise, a relevant degree, and demonstrated industry experience are the strongest candidates for PERM-based sponsorship.
How do I find fashion & apparel Green Card sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate lists fashion and apparel jobs in Washington filtered specifically for Green Card sponsorship, drawing on employer LCA filing history to surface companies with verified sponsorship activity. You can search by role type, city, and sponsorship category to identify Seattle-area employers actively hiring internationally. Reviewing employer PERM filing records through the DOL's OFLC database can also confirm which Washington apparel companies have recently sponsored permanent residence.
Are there any Washington-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in fashion & apparel?
Washington has no state-level immigration filing requirements, but Seattle's competitive tech-adjacent labor market means prevailing wage determinations for fashion and apparel roles can be influenced by regional wage levels, which USCIS and DOL assess through OFLC Wage Search data. Employers in Washington are also subject to the state's strong worker protection laws, which can affect how labor condition requirements are structured during the PERM process. Consulting a qualified immigration attorney is advisable for role-specific guidance.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card fashion & apparel jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
