Search Hospitality Jobs in WashingtonHospitality Green Card Sponsorship Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
Which hospitality companies sponsor Green Card visas in Washington?
Large hotel operators with properties in Seattle and the greater Puget Sound area are the most active sponsors, including brands operating under Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and IHG flags. Casino resorts, such as those operated by tribal gaming enterprises in western Washington, also sponsor Green Cards for culinary and hospitality management staff. Sponsorship decisions vary by property and role, so employer-level research is important.
Which cities in Washington have the most hospitality Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Seattle accounts for the largest share of hospitality Green Card sponsorship activity in Washington, driven by its concentration of full-service hotels, convention properties, and high-volume restaurants. Bellevue and Kirkland on the Eastside have a growing corporate hotel market. Resort destinations including Leavenworth, Winthrop, and properties near Mount Rainier occasionally sponsor for specialized culinary and management roles where qualified local candidates are harder to find.
What types of hospitality roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Washington?
Green Card sponsorship in Washington's hospitality industry tends to concentrate in roles requiring specialized training or credentials that are harder to fill locally. Executive chefs, sous chefs with specialized cuisine expertise, food and beverage directors, hotel general managers, and revenue management professionals are among the positions where employers have pursued sponsorship. Entry-level and seasonal roles rarely lead to Green Card sponsorship, as employers typically reserve that investment for long-tenure positions.
How do I find hospitality Green Card sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by Washington state, the hospitality industry, and Green Card visa type to surface employers who have a documented history of sponsoring international workers. Given that sponsorship in hospitality is property-specific rather than brand-wide, filtering at the employer level, as Migrate Mate allows, is more effective than searching broadly by company name alone.
Are there any Washington-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in hospitality?
Washington does not have a state-level immigration sponsorship program, so all Green Card petitions go through federal USCIS processes. One relevant factor is Washington's competitive labor market in the Seattle metro, which means employers pursuing Green Card sponsorship must demonstrate through the PERM labor certification process that no qualified U.S. worker was available, a bar that can be harder to clear in tight urban markets compared to more rural resort areas in the state.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card hospitality jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
