Which medical devices companies in Washington sponsor Green Card visas?
Washington has a notable cluster of medical devices employers with established sponsorship track records, including Medtronic, Philips Healthcare, Becton Dickinson, and Iteris. Larger hospital systems such as UW Medicine and Providence also employ medical device professionals in clinical engineering and technology roles and have sponsored permanent residence for qualified candidates. Sponsorship patterns vary by company size, role type, and internal HR capacity.
Which cities in Washington have the most medical devices Green Card sponsorship jobs?
The Seattle metropolitan area, including Redmond, Bellevue, and Bothell, accounts for the largest share of medical devices Green Card sponsorship activity in Washington. Bothell in particular has earned a reputation as a life sciences and medical technology corridor, hosting device manufacturers and contract engineering firms. Spokane and the Tri-Cities area have a smaller but present base of healthcare technology employers.
What types of medical devices roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Washington?
Roles that most commonly support Green Card sponsorship in Washington's medical devices sector include regulatory affairs specialists, quality engineers, systems and software engineers working on FDA-cleared products, clinical applications specialists, and R&D scientists. These positions generally require a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant technical or scientific field. Manufacturing process engineers and biomedical engineers embedded in product development teams also appear frequently in sponsored roles.
How do I find medical devices Green Card sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate lists medical devices jobs in Washington that include Green Card sponsorship, letting you filter specifically by visa type and state rather than sorting through general job postings. Because many employers sponsor quietly without advertising it explicitly in job titles, using a sponsorship-focused platform like Migrate Mate helps surface roles that would otherwise be hard to identify. Filtering by the medical devices category narrows results to relevant employers in the Washington market.
Are there state-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in Washington's medical devices industry?
Washington's medical devices sector is closely tied to its broader technology and life sciences ecosystem, which means many employers are experienced with employment-based immigration, particularly EB-2 and EB-3 categories. Washington does not impose state-level immigration filing requirements, but the high concentration of tech-adjacent employers means competition for sponsored roles can be significant. Roles involving FDA regulatory submissions or clinical trial oversight tend to have stronger sponsorship justifications given their specialized requirements.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card medical devices jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
