This is a unique hybrid role that requires you to seamlessly flex between strategic planning and deep operational troubleshooting. You will collaborate closely with the Retail Services Lead in translating client business performance into actionable recommendations, provide guidance on Amazon growth priorities, and consult on key initiatives such as promotion strategy, catalog optimization, retail readiness, and supply chain efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
-
Strategic Commerce Leadership

Strategic & Commercial Advisory: Provide day-to-day strategic support, bringing commercial context and clarity to complex business results, marketplace trends, and operational issues.
-
Retail Priorities & Planning: Advise on priorities across promotions, content, catalog, availability, and retail execution, delivering proactive recommendations to drive performance and growth.
-
Advanced Amazon Expertise
-
Operational & Catalog Guidance: Guide best practices for catalog setup, product content (PDP optimization, A+ Content, imagery), variation structures, and retail readiness.
- Operational Audits & Commercial Health: Conduct holistic audits of marketplace operations, analyzing and presenting findings on in-stock availability, PO rejection rates, missed sales, and SKU-level profitability.
-
Collaborative Troubleshooting: Partner with commerce managers to resolve complex operational scenarios, catalog errors, and suppressions, establishing clear escalation paths for platform hurdles.
-
Performance Analysis
-
Data Interpretation & Reporting: Review Amazon performance data to provide strategic interpretation of what is happening, why it matters, and what should happen next.
- Metric & Goal Synthesis: Connect core retail metrics—such as sales, traffic, conversion, share of search, and buy box performance—directly to broader client business goals.
- Risk & Driver Analysis: Proactively identify emerging risks and growth opportunities by evaluating retail drivers beyond raw data, including promotional support, content quality, and operational friction.
Key Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5-8 years of experience managing enterprise-level Amazon Vendor Central (1P) and Seller Central (3P) accounts, ideally within an agency setting.
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to interpret complex data and turn performance trends into actionable recommendations, leveraging strong commercial judgment to connect Amazon execution to business outcomes and present comfortably to client stakeholders.
- Technical Amazon Expertise: Deep, practical knowledge of Amazon inventory templates, category templates, variation relationships, and the Amazon ticketing ecosystem.
- Advanced Excel Skills: You must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Concatenate, Text-to-Columns) to manipulate large catalog data sets.
- Data Synthesis & Storytelling: Ability to pull raw data (Purchase Orders, Weeks of Cover, Traffic) and turn it into highly visual, executive-ready presentations that highlight "lost opportunities" and clear next steps.
We believe the best work happens when we're together, fostering creativity, collaboration, and connection. That's why we've adopted a hybrid approach, with teams in the office an average of four days a week. Search Marketing & Advertising Jobs in WashingtonMarketing & Advertising Green Card Sponsorship Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
Which marketing and advertising companies sponsor Green Card visas in Washington?
Amazon and Microsoft are among the most active Green Card sponsors for marketing roles in Washington, given their global operations and in-house brand, demand generation, and product marketing teams. Beyond tech giants, Seattle-based agencies and digital media firms have also filed PERM labor certifications for marketing positions. Checking OFLC disclosure data by employer name gives a concrete picture of which companies have active sponsorship histories in this industry.
Which cities in Washington have the most marketing and advertising Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Seattle accounts for the large majority of sponsored marketing and advertising roles in Washington, driven by its concentration of Fortune 500 tech headquarters, e-commerce companies, and regional ad agencies. Bellevue and Redmond contribute meaningfully due to Microsoft's campus and affiliated employers. Outside the greater Seattle metro, Spokane has a smaller but active local agency market, though Green Card sponsorship activity there is considerably lower.
What types of marketing and advertising roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Washington?
Roles that typically attract Green Card sponsorship in Washington's marketing sector include product marketing managers, brand strategists, digital marketing specialists, marketing analysts, and demand generation managers. These positions generally require a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, which supports classification as a specialty occupation under immigration standards. Creative director and UX-adjacent marketing roles at larger tech employers also appear regularly in PERM filings.
How do I find marketing and advertising Green Card sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for marketing and advertising roles with Green Card sponsorship in Washington, surfacing employers who have a documented history of filing PERM labor certifications. This makes it straightforward to focus your search on companies that have already demonstrated willingness to sponsor, rather than applying broadly and asking about sponsorship later in the process. Filtering by role type and location within Migrate Mate narrows results to Washington's most active sponsoring employers.
Are there any state-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in Washington's marketing sector?
Washington's lack of a state income tax can make total compensation comparisons more favorable than in states like California or New York, which may factor into how employers structure offers for sponsored roles. The PERM labor certification process requires employers to document that no qualified U.S. worker is available for the role, so marketing positions in Washington must reflect prevailing wage levels as determined by DOL. Seattle's competitive hiring market for marketing talent means PERM filings here tend to involve senior or specialized roles rather than entry-level positions.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card marketing & advertising jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
