Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and distribution activities to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and implement process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean methodologies to enhance workflow, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
• Manage transportation planning and logistics coordination using transportation management systems (TMS) to optimize freight routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
• Oversee procurement, purchasing, and materials management processes to maintain optimal inventory levels while controlling costs.
• Supervise warehouse staff and team managers, providing guidance on safety protocols, operational procedures, and performance expectations.
• Monitor supply chain performance metrics through ERP systems and supply chain analytics tools to identify areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), freight carriers, and other partners to ensure smooth freight movement and compliance with regulations.
• Prepare budgets, manage expenses related to warehouse operations, and oversee profit & loss responsibilities to meet financial targets.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies across distribution operations by analyzing data trends and applying best practices in logistics management.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, shipping & receiving protocols, and warehouse management system (WMS) procedures for a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse supervision or operations management within a logistics or supply chain environment.
• Strong understanding of profit & loss management, budgeting, and cost control principles.
• Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems (e.g., AS400), warehouse management systems (WMS), and supply chain analytics tools.
• Hands-on experience with inventory control, demand planning, production planning, procurement, purchasing, order fulfillment, and fleet management.
• Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and data analysis purposes.
• Knowledge of distribution operations including freight handling, shipping & receiving procedures, logistics management, and materials management.
• Strong managerial communication skills with the ability to coordinate across departments and external partners seamlessly.
• Ability to analyze complex supply chain issues quickly and implement strategic solutions efficiently.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
