AP&T is seeking a motivated and results-oriented Business Account Manager to join our team. This position will focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with existing enterprise and wholesale customers while identifying new opportunities to expand our business customer base.
The ideal candidate will have experience in inside and/or outside sales, with strong communication skills and the ability to effectively manage client relationships through phone, email, video conferencing, and in-person meetings. Occasional travel to customer locations will be required.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain relationships with current enterprise and wholesale accounts.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand existing customer relationships through upselling and cross-selling additional services.
- Expand the customer base by identifying, engaging and building strong relationships with new business clients.
- Conduct sales outreach and deliver presentations through phone calls, video conferencing, and in-person client meetings.
- Collaborate with the product and technical teams to address customer needs and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Maintain detailed and up to date records of client communications, account activity and sales opportunities within the CRM system.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred; equivalent experience in telecommunications, technology sales, or account management may be considered.
- 2-4+ years of experience in business sales, customer account management, client relations, or related roles, with demonstrated success growing B2B accounts and identifying new business opportunities.
- Experience in telecommunications, internet services, or technology industries preferred, with knowledge of broadband, dedicated internet, voice services, and related products a plus.
- Strong sales, negotiation, upselling, cross-selling, and relationship-building skills with the ability to meet sales goals and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and strong organizational skills to manage client interactions, sales pipelines, and account activity.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage customers through phone, virtual meetings, and in-person visits.
- Valid driver's license, ability to meet AP&T insurance requirements, and willingness to travel approximately 25% throughout Alaska.
- Ability to maintain mental alertness and perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Position is primarily sedentary and requires prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching.
- Regular communicates verbally and uses hands and fingers to operate phones, computers, and other office equipment.
- Ability to occasionally lift, handle, or move items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Requires visual abilities including close, distance, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment.
- Occasional local and overnight travel by vehicle or airplane may be required.
The pay for this position is $65,000 to $85,0000 annually and is DOE.
