Account Manager Jobs in Oregon: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a account manager in Oregon?
Most account manager roles in Oregon require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though some technology and industrial employers accept equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree. Oregon does not issue a state license specifically for account managers, so hiring criteria are set by employers. Building experience in a sales coordinator, customer success, or inside sales role at an Oregon company is the most common path into the position.
How much do account managers make in Oregon?
Account managers in Oregon earn a median of about $67,040 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $38,510 for the lowest 10% to over $135,480 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire account managers in Oregon?
Oregon account manager roles are posted by Kaiser Permanente, UPS, and State Farm and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Oregon's mix of large technology campuses, regional health plans, and consumer goods headquarters means openings appear across a wide range of industries throughout the state.
Which Oregon cities have the most account manager jobs?
Portland, Oregon, and Bend have the most account manager openings in Oregon. Portland drives the largest share given its density of technology firms, financial services companies, and corporate headquarters, while Beaverton and Hillsboro add significant volume through Intel and Nike's campus operations, and Eugene reflects demand from healthcare networks and regional distribution companies serving the southern Willamette Valley.
Are there remote account manager jobs in Oregon?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 59% of account manager openings tied to Oregon are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the role involves video calls, email, and CRM work rather than on-site presence. SaaS and technology account management roles in Oregon tend to offer the most fully remote flexibility, while manufacturing and healthcare account roles more often require local travel or on-site client visits.
How can I get hired as a account manager in Oregon with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or customer success associate role at an Oregon technology or healthcare company, where you build client communication and CRM skills before moving into a full account management position. Employers like Portland-area SaaS companies and regional health plans such as PacificSource and Moda Health regularly hire for associate-level commercial roles that serve as a direct pipeline. Earning a Salesforce Administrator certification or completing a HubSpot sales training program also gives candidates a measurable edge when competing against peers who lack direct experience.
Where can I find and apply to account manager jobs in Oregon?
You can find and apply to account manager jobs in Oregon on Migrate Mate, which lists current Oregon openings updated regularly. Search the roles available, find the ones that fit your experience and preferred location or work arrangement, and apply directly to each listing without needing to create a profile first.
