Business Development Manager Jobs in Plano: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a business development manager job in Plano?
Focus your search on Plano's technology corridor along the Dallas North Tollway, where software, telecom, and financial services companies cluster and hire business development managers most actively. Experience selling to enterprise clients or navigating SaaS sales cycles gives you a clear edge here. Networking through the Plano Chamber of Commerce and the legacy corporate campuses in Legacy West can also open doors that online applications miss.
Which companies hire business development managers in Plano?
Employers hiring business development managers in Plano right now include Origina, GoVerden, and Tapcheck, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Plano's employer base skews toward large enterprise technology companies, regional financial firms, and telecommunications providers, all of which maintain dedicated business development teams locally.
Are there remote business development manager jobs in Plano?
Yes, though availability depends on the role, since business development work often requires in-person relationship building with clients and partners. About 67% of business development manager openings tied to Plano are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, with hybrid arrangements being most common among the technology and software firms based in the Legacy West area.
How can I get a business development manager job in Plano with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Plano is landing a sales development representative or account coordinator role at one of the technology or telecom companies based in the Legacy West or Granite Park districts, where internal promotion into business development is common. Building a pipeline of outbound prospecting experience and getting comfortable with CRM tools like Salesforce puts you in a strong position when those openings come up at local employers.
