Business Manager Jobs in New Jersey: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business manager in New Jersey?
Most business manager roles in New Jersey require a bachelor's degree in business administration, management, finance, or a related field, along with several years of progressively responsible work experience. New Jersey does not require a state-issued license specifically for business managers, but certain industries have their own requirements: healthcare management roles may require credentials aligned with New Jersey Department of Health facility standards, and financial services positions often expect licenses such as the Series 7 or Series 63 maintained through FINRA.
Which companies hire business managers in New Jersey?
Employers hiring business managers in New Jersey right now include JPMorganChase, TD, and Country Arch Care Center, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. New Jersey's concentration of pharmaceutical headquarters, financial services firms, and large logistics operations means demand is distributed across multiple industries rather than a single dominant sector.
Which New Jersey cities have the most business manager jobs?
The cities with the most business manager openings in New Jersey are Newark, Jersey City, and New Jersey. Newark anchors demand through its financial and corporate services base, Parsippany draws openings from the pharmaceutical and technology firms headquartered along the Route 10 and I-287 corridors, and Princeton benefits from proximity to major life sciences campuses and professional services companies that maintain regional offices there.
Are there remote business manager jobs in New Jersey?
Yes, and more than many operational roles, since business management work is largely desk-based and communication-driven. About 65% of business manager openings tied to New Jersey are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the flexible arrangements that financial services and technology employers in the state have adopted. The functions most commonly offered remotely are client account management, business operations analysis, and project coordination roles that do not require daily on-site oversight.
How can I get hired as a business manager in New Jersey with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing an operations coordinator, business analyst, or administrative management role and building toward a manager title from within. Large New Jersey employers such as Prudential Financial, Johnson & Johnson, and major healthcare systems like RWJBarnabas Health run rotational development and associate manager programs that accept recent graduates. A bachelor's degree in business plus demonstrated leadership in internships or project work is the credential that opens doors, and candidates pursuing finance-adjacent roles benefit from sitting for a FINRA license early.
Where can I find and apply to business manager jobs in New Jersey?
You can find and apply to business manager jobs in New Jersey on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state right now. Search the listings, find roles that fit your experience and location, and apply directly to the ones that match.
