Change Management Coordinator Jobs in Maryland: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a change management coordinator in Maryland?
Most Maryland employers require a bachelor's degree in business, organizational development, human resources, or a related field as the starting point. Maryland does not issue a state license for this role, so credentials come from professional bodies: the Prosci Change Management certification is the most widely recognized, and the Association of Change Management Professionals offers the Certified Change Management Professional designation. Candidates who pair either credential with experience in Maryland's dominant sectors, federal contracting or healthcare, move into coordinator roles most quickly.
Which companies hire change management coordinators in Maryland?
Companies currently hiring change management coordinators in Maryland include Akina, Savvee, and T. Rowe Price, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Maryland's concentration of federal agencies and large defense contractors means that consulting firms and systems integrators with government-focused practices account for a significant share of ongoing openings.
Which Maryland cities have the most change management coordinator jobs?
The cities with the most change management coordinator openings in Maryland are Camp Springs, Adelphi, and Bethesda. Baltimore anchors demand through its large hospital systems and financial institutions, while Bethesda and the broader National Capital Region draw heavily from federal agencies and the defense contracting ecosystem concentrated along the I-270 corridor.
Are there remote change management coordinator jobs in Maryland?
Yes, and more than most fields, because change management coordination is primarily a desk-based, communication-driven role that translates well to distributed work. About 100% of change management coordinator openings tied to Maryland are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly this model has been adopted across consulting and healthcare administration. Stakeholder communication, training development, and documentation work are the tasks most commonly performed fully remotely.
How can I get hired as a change management coordinator in Maryland with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a lateral move from an adjacent role such as project coordinator, training specialist, or business analyst, where you have already supported process or people-side changes. Large Maryland employers including Leidos and Johns Hopkins Health System post associate program manager and junior change analyst roles that explicitly welcome candidates without dedicated change management titles. Pursuing the Prosci Foundations certificate before applying signals commitment to the discipline and gives hiring managers a concrete credential to point to, even when your direct experience is limited.
Where can I find and apply to change management coordinator jobs in Maryland?
You can find and apply to change management coordinator jobs in Maryland on Migrate Mate, which lists current Maryland openings in one place. Search the listings, find roles that match your background and target industry, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
