Client Services Manager Jobs in Michigan: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a client services manager in Michigan?
Most client services manager roles in Michigan require a bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, marketing, or a closely related field, followed by experience in account management, customer success, or operations. Michigan does not issue a state license for this role, so employers evaluate candidates on demonstrated client outcomes, internal promotions from coordinator or associate roles, and relevant industry certifications such as those offered through the Customer Success Association or Project Management Institute.
Which companies hire client services managers in Michigan?
Employers hiring client services managers in Michigan right now include Community Mental Health Authority, BDO, and EHTC, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Michigan's concentration of insurance carriers, regional banks, healthcare payers, and automotive tier-one suppliers means ongoing demand across multiple industries rather than a single dominant sector.
Which Michigan cities have the most client services manager jobs?
Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Ada have the most client services manager openings in Michigan. Detroit leads because of its density of financial institutions, healthcare systems, and corporate headquarters, while Grand Rapids draws openings from its growing healthcare and professional services sectors, and Ann Arbor attracts roles tied to its technology firms and university-affiliated organizations.
Are there remote client services manager jobs in Michigan?
Yes, and more than many fields, since client services management is primarily a desk-based, communication-driven role. About 0% of client services manager openings tied to Michigan are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how widely this work can be performed without a fixed office. Fully remote positions tend to concentrate in software, insurance, and financial services, where client interaction happens over phone and digital platforms.
How can I get hired as a client services manager in Michigan with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is securing a client services coordinator or account associate role at a Michigan insurance carrier, regional bank, or healthcare administration firm, then building toward manager through internal promotion. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Priority Health, and Flagstar Bank regularly bring in associates without extensive experience. A completed bachelor's degree, strong CRM familiarity, and any customer-facing retail or operations background meaningfully strengthen early applications.
Where can I find and apply to client services manager jobs in Michigan?
You can find and apply to client services manager jobs in Michigan on Migrate Mate, which lists current Michigan openings across industries including financial services, healthcare, insurance, and professional services. Search the listings, find roles that fit your background and location, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
