Clinical Care Coordinator Jobs in Kansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a clinical care coordinator in Kansas?
Most clinical care coordinator positions in Kansas require either an active Kansas RN license issued through the Kansas State Board of Nursing or an LCSW credential through the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board, depending on the employer and setting. A bachelor's degree in nursing, social work, or a health-related field is the standard education requirement. Many Kansas employers also expect some prior clinical or case management experience before hiring into a coordinator role.
Which companies hire clinical care coordinators in Kansas?
Kansas clinical care coordinator roles are posted by Wesley Medical Center, Aria Care Partners, and Bluestem Communities and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Kansas's large integrated health systems and managed care organizations tend to post the most consistently throughout the year.
Which Kansas cities have the most clinical care coordinator jobs?
Wichita, McPherson, and Kansas City have the most clinical care coordinator openings in Kansas. Wichita drives the largest share as the state's most populous city and home to major systems like Ascension Via Christi and Wesley Healthcare, while Kansas City benefits from its proximity to The University of Kansas Health System and a dense managed care presence, and Topeka is anchored by Stormont Vail Health and state government health agencies.
Are there remote clinical care coordinator jobs in Kansas?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely administrative roles. About 0% of clinical care coordinator openings tied to Kansas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the mix of in-person care settings and desk-based functions in this role. Utilization review, telephonic case management, and population health monitoring are the functions most likely to be offered remotely.
How can I get hired as a clinical care coordinator in Kansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from a direct clinical role, such as a bedside RN, medical social worker, or patient navigator, into a coordinator position at the same employer. Large Kansas health systems like The University of Kansas Health System and Stormont Vail Health hire new graduates into case management residency or care transition programs that build coordination skills on the job. Earning a care management certificate or completing a Kansas LCSW supervision plan while in an adjacent role also strengthens a candidate's profile considerably.
