INTRODUCTION
MUSC Health Behavioral Care – Orangeburg is seeking a licensed Clinical Psychologist to join the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences in a full-time (1.0 clinical FTE) role supporting outpatient behavioral health services. This position is primarily clinical in nature, focused on delivering high-quality psychological services, with additional focus on children and adolescents, within a rural and underserved community. While embedded in a teaching environment and collaborating closely with psychiatry faculty and residents, this role does not include primary supervision of psychiatry residents, as resident supervision is provided by designated faculty. The psychologist will contribute to patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration and, when appropriate, informal educational consultation within the clinical setting.

Orangeburg, South Carolina
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program
- Licensed or license-eligible Clinical Psychologist in South Carolina
- Demonstrated competence in psychological assessment and psychotherapy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Training in multiple evidence-based therapies (e.g., CBT, trauma-focused therapies, DBT, ACT)
- Provide psychological testing and diagnostic evaluations as clinically appropriate
- Interpret assessment results and communicate findings to referring providers
- Offer diagnostic clarification and treatment recommendations
- Experience in medical or integrated behavioral health settings
- Experience serving rural, underserved, or diverse populations
- Comfort working in an academic medical environment, even without formal teaching responsibilities
